Audry Deal, a native of Franklin, Tennessee, is primarily a ceramic and mixed-media artist who focuses on botanical forms. In addition to having a strong formal interest in plant structures, her research centers on problems facing our botanical ecosystems and attempts to raise awareness through education and increased exposure. Her work also serves as a form of documentation in the event extinction occurs.

Audry has a BFA in Ceramic Studio Arts from Ohio University.  Her education also includes studies at Die Burg Giebichenstein Hochschule für Kunst und Design in Halle, Germany, in addition to travels in Europe and Japan. She is currently teaching at Vanderbilt's Sarratt Art Studios, The Renaissance Center, as well as Watkins College of Art and Design.
